You can enjoy a whole day on the back of one of our icelandic horses.
We offer different day trips starting from Hótel Geysir.
One of the most popular tours is the Geysir - Gullfoss roundtrip where we head from the hotel passing the incredible scenery of Geysir, Strokkur and the dozens of hot springs towards the Haukadal forest.
Enjoy the stunning panorama of the highlands, surrounded by snow tipped mountain peaks and the "long glacier" Langjökull.
Experience the impressive beauty of Gullfoss the "Golden waterfall" one of Icelands most popular natural highlights.
Taste the traditional Icelandic lamb soup (there is a vegetarian choice as well) before you head back to Geysir.
After the long ride, relax your weary muscles in the hotel's hot tub (please bring bathing suits).
This ride requires some previous horse riding experience or at least a good sense for adventure and also a good physical condition. as you will be on the horse for at least 4 hours.
The trip will take you through some rough terrain. We will be riding at medium speed and you will lead a second horse along (so you can change when your first horse gets tired).
The price is 10.500 isk per person including lunch at Gullfoss.
We provide helmets and rain gear. Please bring strong shoes and comfortable trousers.
The approximate duration is 7 hours. It can vary due to weather and
riding skills of the group members.
